A Polícia Judiciária apreendeu, em Viana do Castelo, 14 embarcações de alta velocidade, motores e equipamentos para a construção das chamadas lanchas voadoras, no valor de milhões de euros, na sequência de uma investigação ao tráfico de droga.
O Departamento de Investigação Criminal de Braga atuou por solicitação e em colaboração com as autoridades espanholas (Guardia Civil, Policía Nacional e DAVA – Direção Adjunta de Vigilância Aduaneira) ao realizar buscas em duas empresas de construção naval no distrito de Viana do Castelo, indicou a PJ, em comunicado.
“As lanchas encontravam-se em diversos estados de construção, suspeitando-se que se destinariam a ser usadas no tráfico de estupefacientes, por via marítima”, lê-se no documento.
Segundo a PJ, o número de embarcações e motores apreendidos, no valor de vários milhões de euros, evidencia “a capacidade de investimento e logística da organização criminosa”.
As investigações continuam, a cargo das autoridades espanholas.
