Gary Kirsten might have made a mistake when he decided to become Pakistan’s white ball coach. The former cricketer has had a long and successful both as a cricketer and a coach. He’s been a commander-in-chief for international and franchise leagues and has ample experience of manages big players of the likes of Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. But nothing could have prepared him for what was about to come.
He joined the Pakistan team on May 20, and has since repented it. A week into the job, he didn’t seem sure that Babar Azam and co. had it in them to win the T20 World Cup. When Pakistan lost against India despite being ahead for about 35 overs of the match, he clearly stated that ‘they lost the plot’ and the players need to ‘take more responsibility‘.
If that weren’t enough, now news has come that Kirsten is shocked by the lack of unity in the team, confirming the rumours of a potential rift between teammates, and isn’t satisfied with Pakistan’s fitness or skills.

Harbhajan Singh, who played under Kirsten from 2008-11 for the Indian cricket team, wants him to return to coach the side once again. Replying to the alleged comments the South African coach made, Harbhajan tweeted:
