As per a report in the Indian Express, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will miss the series. It seems like the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel also enquired with Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav, about their availability, but both declined.

In-form Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Tushar Deshpande, Harshit Rana, all regulars for their respective teams in the IPL will board the flight to Zimbabwe and so will those on the bench during the T20 World Cup, Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rinku Singh.
Provisional IND vs ZIM Squad Picked
The report also states that the selection panel has already picked the IND vs ZIM squad, but were waiting for the nod from Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. And in all possibility, the squad will be announced on Monday itself. Since Rahul Dravid will leave after the T20 World Cup, and the next coach hasn’t been announced, VVS Laxman could be the stand-in coach.
