How does the reserve day work?
In accordance with the playing conditions set forth by the ICC, if a reserve day is designated, every attempt will be made to finish the match on the designated day, with any necessary reduction in overs occurring. The match will only be completed on the reserve day if the minimum number of overs required to complete a match cannot be bowled on the scheduled day.

Additionally, if the match begins on the designated day and, after an interruption, the overs are reduced but play cannot be resumed, the match will resume on the reserve day from the point of the last ball played.
What happens if the reserve day is also washed out?
In the event of a tied final, the teams will play a Super Over in accordance with ICC rules to decide the winner. If a winner is not determined on the reserve day, the match will be declared a no result if even the Super Over is not possible. Both South Africa and India will win the trophy if the Super Over is abandoned, the weather prevents it from being completed, or there is no outcome. In these cases, the teams will be declared joint winners.
